Yes — and this is non-negotiable to us. We use QR error correction level H, which allows up to 30% of the pattern to be visually altered and still decode correctly. Every output goes through a scan verification step before delivery. Works with iPhone's built-in camera, Android camera, Google Lens, and any QR scanning app.
Images with a clear subject and decent contrast work best — portraits, product photos, logos on clean backgrounds, landscapes. Extremely busy or very low-contrast images still work but the QR blending is more subtle. We recommend JPG or PNG under 5MB. Minimum 512×512 pixels for good output quality.
A plain overlay drops a white-box QR sticker on top of your photo — it covers the image and looks like an afterthought. ImageToQR uses ControlNet AI to blend the QR pattern into the visual texture and color of your image. The photo and QR code become one unified image. The QR follows your image's colors, shapes, and character rather than sitting on top of it.
A dynamic QR code lets you change the destination URL later without regenerating the image. You print the QR once.
